Throughout Reception and Year 1, the children take part in a phonics lesson daily. These last around 20-30 minutes and follow the Twinkl phonics scheme. During these sessions, your child will receive direct, frequent teaching and opportunities for repeated practice of reading, writing and spelling. These sessions are consistent and pacey, ensuring full coverage of the Twinkl phonics scheme.
